Since Autumn 2009 we’ve been working on the design of a new 18-hole golf course in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire for Vital Property Limited. The project is called the Park Hall Golf Resort and is now at pre-application stage, prior to the submission of a formal planning application in Spring 2010. If successful, we hope that construction work will start in late 2010. The course is a par 69, 5623 yards – only short by modern standards, but it’s carefully designed with water features, woodland and strategic bunkering. Also, it’s going to be a good challenge to play because there are some bold changes in level – provided by the existing topography. Also planned is a modern golf clubhouse, boutique hotel, rentable apartments/suites in the adjacent Park Hall Mansion and 16 private lodges overlooking the golf course.
