Valle de Uco Golf, Wine & Country, Argentina
This high profile development is destined to become one of the premier lifestyle destinations in Argentina. The signature course designer is Eduardo 'El Gato' Romero, winner of the 2008 US Senior Open, in conjunction with Gaunt Golf Design. Together they will create a championship-standard 6800-metre course in the foothills of the Andes, with stunning views of the peaks of Tupungato and Aconcagua and San José Volcano, close to the town of Vista Flores, about 1.5 hours drive south of the bustling city of Mendoza.
Mendoza is known as one of the world’s most prestigious wine-producing regions and is synonymous with the Malbec grape. The relationship between golf and wine is well known, especially in Australia and South Africa, however, the opportunity has not really been taken to link the two in one resort, as the developer is doing here.
Valle de Uco Golf, Wine & Country will be home to an 18-hole course, 300 metre driving range and state-of-the-art golf academy. The resort will also feature a small boutique hotel, tennis academy, spa & wellness centre, and several fine-dining and casual restaurants. There will also be a number of residential plots lining the golf course and site vineyards.
