Hennerton Golf Club, UK
The original 9-hole course at Hennerton was built in 1992 but due to intense demand, the owner appointed Jonathan Gaunt to design a 9-hole course extension in 2003.
Securing approval for the planning application was the first of many difficult challenges as the site is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in beautiful chalk downland overlooking the Thames Valley and home to badgers, newts and orchids.
The result is a beautiful new course that winds its way carefully through the undulating countryside surrounded by protected oak woodland.
