Tamuda Hills Golf Resort, Morocco
The remains of an ancient castle/fortress, Koudyat As-Salla, preside over this course which retains much of the natural forest with mature pines, eucalyptus, oak and olive trees. It also has extensive and stunning views across the Mediterranean.
These powerful natural elements have been incorporated into the design to make this a really challenging resort golf course at Mdiq Fnideq. Golfers will enjoy tremendous variety, from fairways sheltered by woodland, to those that run along the water’s edge. The river in the ravine will be re-directed and diverted to create lagoons and water features that meander through the site.
As few holes as possible face East-West or West-East to save golfers from playing directly against the low sun in the morning or in the evening.
On each hole, there will be at least 5 tee platforms, allowing varying lengths for golfers of all abilities – this provides at least 100 metres difference between the back (mens’) tee on each hole and the forward (ladies’) tee.
The total course length is 6235 metres and includes a 300-metre driving-range with targets as well as two practice greens.
Construction work to commence summer 2008.
