Course construction
The design process does not end with the handover of drawings. A golf course has to grow into its design.
Gaunt Golf Design builds a specialist team for each individual project and has a long, successful track record in project management.
We prepare contracts, tender documents and bills of quantities, which form the basis of negotiations with specialist contractors and shapers.
If local skills and expertise are available, we prefer to use them. If not, we will bring them in.
Our Project Manager will oversee the construction work from day one through to completion, reporting to the architect as necessary. He will also advise the course superintendent through the growing-in phase and management of the site following seeding. Gaunt Golf Design works with many excellent project managers who travel the world delivering these specialist skills – we’d be happy to recommend one.
As author of the course design, Jonathan Gaunt will make regular site inspections throughout the construction period, producing detailed reports and signing off work as it is completed.
