Golf course growing-in
Once a golf course is complete, bringing it into play requires specialist skills.
Gaunt Golf Design provides an advisory service throughout the growing-in period, working closely with the golf course maintenance team. Consultation continues right up to and beyond the day the golf course first opens for play. We believe that this a shared investment in the long-term vision for the golf course to ensure its economic success and longevity. During the growing-in period we:
- Undertake regular site visits with the course superintendent
- Mark out bunker sand areas and fairway mowing patterns with the course superintendent
- Provide the client with a final coloured course masterplan and scorecard
- We also like to attend (and play in) the golf course opening day competition!
