The Tytherington Club is one of 13 Country Clubs in the UK operated by the Club Company, combining a traditional golf environment with state-of-the-art health and fitness facilities for the whole family. The Tytherington Club offers a variety of facilities, including gym, group fitness studios, swimming pool, wet spa, crèche, health and beauty, tennis, championship golf courses, bar, restaurant and lounges with free Wi-Fi.

The Championship Course was designed by Dave Thomas in the late 1980’s and is set within gently rolling parkland in the heart of Cheshire. The mature, tree-lined course plays to a length of 6,765 yards from the back tees and a par of 72. The course follows the natural contours of the land and offers stunning views of the Peak District, with more than 100 bunkers and eight water features, it is not difficult to see why The Tytherington is considered one of the finest courses in the North West.

Our work at The Tytherington Club has involved the remodelling of all bunkers on holes #3, #4, #5, #7, #8 and #18, incorporating drainage improvements. The bunkers were proving to be difficult and expensive to maintain as they were all particularly large and deep (synonymous with Dave Thomas’s design style) and had not been remodelled (or re-drained) since the course was first built. The work was expertly undertaken by John Greasley Contractors in a short timeframe whilst keeping as much of the course in play as possible.
