Chartham Park Golf & Country Club has embarked on an exciting bunker redevelopment project designed to elevate the course’s playability, visual appeal and long-term sustainability.
The work is being led by renowned golf course architect Jonathan Gaunt, whose portfolio includes some of the UK’s most respected modern course renovations. Construction is being expertly handled by John Greasley, one of the country’s leading specialists in golf course building and shaping.
The project aims to enhance the strategic design, consistency and aesthetic quality of Chartham Park’s bunkers. Over the years, natural wear, weather damage and sand contamination have affected bunker performance. This redevelopment addresses those issues comprehensively, upgrading drainage, reshaping faces and edges, and refining bunker positioning to ensure they remain fair, visually striking and relevant to the modern game.
